I started my love for painting less than ten years ago. I had never picked up a paintbrush until attending a watercolour workshop. After a few lessons, I was hooked. My passion has grown over the years using different mediums to capture my images.
Fortunately, living in South Devon the opportunities are many and varied; I go on long rambling walks with my trusty dog Tyler armed with sketch book and camera to capture images from the rugged coastline, especially the sea, to moody Dartmoor and the animals that roam across it.
Light, colour and atmosphere are really important to me, which is conveyed in my paintings.
Although mostly self-taught, I occasionally attends workshops, which has enabled me to go from strength to strength. Since those very casual beginnings, I have never looked back, exhibiting regularly during the year.
In 2015 I won the "Fresh Art Competition" at Mayne Gallery and they have a selection of my work on show.
